Košík.cz is a Czech online grocery delivery service, bringing food and household goods directly to customers' doors. Founded in 2014 in response to growing demand for convenient and fast grocery delivery services, the company has expanded its reach significantly since then.
Originally serving major cities and their surrounding areas, Košík.cz significantly expanded its reach in 2020 by opening a new central warehouse in Jirny (Central Bohemia), which stocks around 1,700 shelf-stable food and beverage items. This enabled the company to offer next-day delivery of a limited range of long-life products to any address in the Czech Republic, while continuing to deliver fresh products to an expanding number of regions (including returning to the Ostrava area and expanding into Brno and southern Moravia after a multi-year absence). The company has stated its ambition to eventually offer its full product range nationwide.
The product range includes tens of thousands of items, including fresh groceries such as meat, dairy products, bread, fruit, vegetables, fish and eggs; pantry staples; beverages; organic and gluten-free products; food supplements; drugstore and household goods; children's products; pet food; paper and household goods; plus prepared meals and packaging-free ("bez obalu") ecological alternatives. The site also carries a large pharmacy selection via Dr. Max.
International expansion: Building on its established position in the Czech market, Košík.cz launched a Slovak version (Košík.sk) and has announced plans to expand into Bulgaria and Romania.
