Company history: Master roofer Michael Hornbach founded a craft business in Landau, in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, in 1877. His son, Wilhelm Hornbach, expanded the family business to include building materials. In 1968, the company opened its first modern DIY store, laying the foundation for the large-format home improvement store concept that Hornbach operates across Europe today.
Product range: flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, building materials, tools, lighting, home décor, plants and garden supplies, windows, paint and wallpaper — essentially everything needed for home renovation and DIY projects.
